Marta Air Purifier & Room Ventilation System
 This air purifier and room ventilation system is mounted on the inside of an external wall and draws fresh air in from outside. The unit filters, heats and circulates this fresh air around the room providing a pure, healthy atmosphere without having to leave windows open.
It is ideal for use by allergy sufferers as a room can be ventilated in the summertime without having to leave windows open, which would otherwise allow pollen and other pollutants into a room.
The Marta incorporates a two stage filtration process. An active carbon filter captures exhaust fumes, industrial gases SO2 and NOx, vapours from organic substances, styrenes, acetates, benzene, oil, acid gases, formaldehyde and ammonia. Then an F9 class filter captures up to 99.9% of particulate matter, including ash, dust, pollen, seeds, soot and tobacco smoke. This will reduce the amount of dust being introduced to a room and has great benefits for people with respiratory problems and allergies.
When used in cool months an internal 800W heater can be activated that tempers the air so that it does not lower the internal temperature of a room. During warm months this function can be turned off.
An internal air inlet takes air from within the room, recirculating and filtering it further to help ongoing removal of pollutants. The external air inlet can be regulated with a mixing flap and set to only allow fresh external air in, half and half or closed so that only internal air is being recirculated and filtered.
Other advantages of using the Marta air purifier and ventilation unit is that it reduces noise in a room by allowing the windows to remain closed. This also keeps unwanted smells out, combats humidity problems by improving ventilation during the wintertime, and prevents mosquitoes, flies and other insects from entering a room through open windows.
In order to install this unit a hole of 130mm in diameter needs to be drilled through an external wall. The Marta is then easily mounted on to the inside of the wall using screws and rawl-plugs. The hole through the wall should be lined with ducting and the external hole fitted with a rain-proof grille. The Marta can alternatively be used without a ventilation hole through the wall but the unit will only circulate, purify and heat the existing air inside the room and not provide fresh air.
